On 21 October 2026, we officially kicked off the project “Visegrad Support to Serbia’s Workforce Development for a National Nuclear Program”, marking the beginning of an exciting new international collaboration.
Coordinated by Prof. Dr. Jovana Nikolov from the University of Novi Sad – Faculty of Sciences (Serbia), the project brings together expertise from three Visegrad partners: HUN-REN Centre for Energy Research (Hungary), Research Centre Řež (Czechia), and Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (Slovakia).
During the online kick-off meeting, the partners established a joint work plan, defined key activities and responsibilities, and agreed on the next steps for successful project implementation.
By combining education, hands-on training, and regional knowledge exchange, this initiative aims to strengthen Serbia’s capacities in nuclear safety and security and contribute to developing the next generation of skilled nuclear professionals.
The project is supported by the International Visegrad Fund, with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
