Dr Srđan Rončević
Born on November 23 1975 in Bačka Palanka. He graduated Chemistry at the Faculty of Sciences, Novi Sad in 1999, received MSc degree in 2002, and defended his doctoral thesis in 2007. He was appointed Full Professor in 2017 in the field of Chemical Technology. He has been teaching the following courses at the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Environmental Protection: at the bachelor level – Basics of Environmental Protection, Soil Degradation, Soil Protection, Chemical Technology, Technology of Environmental Protection, Waste-free Technology, Remediation Technology; at the master level – Eco-engineering; at the doctoral level – Selected Chapters in Environmental Protection, Remediation Processes.
He mentored three doctoral thesis. He co-authored two university textbooks and seven additional textbooks. His research and scientific activities are focused on chemistry and technology of environmental protections, with a special interest in technology of water remediation, sediments and soil. His overall competence index is over 350, with 36 papers on the SCI list. He participated in the realization of more than 40 projects and studies, and was the leader of one international, two national and one local project.
He was Assistant Director at the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Environmental Protection from 2010 to 2015, he has been a member of the Teaching and Scientific Council of the Faculty of Sciences since 2009, a coordinator of bachelor academic studies of Chemistry – Quality Control and Environment Management since 2013, he was a managing coordinator of the accredited Laboratory for Chemical Research of Environmental Protection “Assistant Professor dr Milena Dalmacija” (2009-2012, 2014-2015), he has been a member of the Expert Council for Sciences and Mathematics of the Provincial Secretariat of Science and Technological Development since 2008, a member of the Commission QS Ch047 – Chemistry, Institute for Standardization of Serbia since 2012, and the Vice President of the Board for Integrated Research and International Cooperation of the Senate, University of Novi Sad since 2015, etc.
