Centre of Excellence in Mathematical Research of Non-linear Phenomena

It received the status of the Centre of Excellence by the decision of the National Council for Science and the Ministry of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia in May 2008, proposed by the Accreditation Committee of the Ministry.

The activity of the Centre is mainly scientific and it comprises three research groups at the Department of Mathematics and Informatics:

  • Group for analysis, probability and geometry,
  • Group for numerical mathematics and
  • Group for model-theoretic forcing and set-theoretic logic

The activity of the Centre is conducted through scientific and other projects, international cooperation, organising seminars, scientific meetings and working with young researchers. The Centre also has an important role in organising courses at master and doctoral study programmes at the University of Novi Sad.

The centre was established by the Academician Prof. Stevan Pilipovic, Prof. Natasa Krejic and Prof. Milos Kurilic. The Head of the Centre is Prof. Dr. Stevan Pilipovic. Prof. Dr Natasa Krejic is the coordinator of scientific activities.


Centre for Reproductive Endocrinology and Signalling (CeRES)

CeRES received the status of the Centre of Excellence by the decision of the National Council of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia in April 2018.

The activity of the Centre is mainly scientific and comprises the work of one research laboratory (at the Department of Biology and Ecology) and three research groups (two from the Department of Biology and Ecology and one from the Department of Mathematics and Informatics whose competences are complementary:

The activity of the Centre is conducted through scientific and other projects, international cooperation, organising seminars, scientific meetings and working with young researchers. The Centre also has an important role in organising courses at master and doctoral study programmes at the University of Novi Sad.

The centre was established by Prof. Silvana Andric, Prof. Tatjana Kostic, Prof. Vesna Milankov and Prof. Dragan Masulovic with associates. The Head of the Centre is Prof. Dr Silvana Andric.
