Dr Lana Zorić

Born in 1974 in Sarajevo, BH. She graduated from the Faculty of Sciences, Novi Sad in 1997, received her MSc degree in 2000, and defended her PhD thesis in the field of Anatomy and Morphology of Plants in 2008. She was appointed Associate Professor at the Department of Biology and Ecology, Chair of Botany in 2014, where she teaches at all levels of study. She has been teaching students of Pharmacy, both in Serbian and English programmes, at the Medical Faculty, University of Novi Sad.

Her research interests include applied anatomy and morphology of plants. She has published over 60 scientific papers, with more than 35 published in the journals of SCI list. She has reviewed one specialist book and numerous scientific papers in international scientific journals. She has participated in national and international projects, and has established international cooperation with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and Palacký University in Olomouc, The Czech Republic. She attended the programme of professional development at the University of Illinois, The Field Museum in Chicago, USA, and International Sakharov Environmental University in Minsk, Belorus (inter-university cooperation). She has been a coordinator for the doctoral study programmes at the Department of Biology and Ecology, as well as the member of numerous commissions and working groups. She speaks English fluently.
